Incidence of guttural pouch mycosis (GPM) is relatively rare, but present in most regions of the world. Fatal epistaxis and dysphagia are the worst complications and it is essential to understand global anatomy and to be able to recognise structures during endoscopic examination [1]. GPM affects horses of all ages, ponies and donkeys [2]. A retrospective study (VetAgro Sup Lyon 2015) based on 46 equids affected with GPM, followed for a minimum of 6 months, was not able to demonstrate common parameters for age, sex, breed, time of onset or concomitant disease.
