Einleitung
DieChronische Nierenerkrankung (CNE) ist eines der häufigsten Gesundheitsprobleme bei älteren Katzen, und mehr als 30 % aller Katzen über 15 Jahren sind betroffen (1). In vielen Fällen geht diese Erkrankung mit Störungen der Nahrungsaufnahme einher. Die Aufrechterhaltung des Körpergewichts korreliert bei Katzen mit CNE jedoch positiv mit der Lebensspanne (2). Die Akzeptanz von Nierendiätnahrungen ist daher ein Kernelement der diätetischen Behandlung von Katzen mit CNE.
