This presentation will be targeted to Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians who want to expand their understanding of commonly used pre-anesthetic medications both new and old. They will consider why premedication is beneficial to most anesthetic plans. A review of the pharmacology of different drug classes, including mechanism of action, anticipated side-effects, as well asl indications and contraindications for use will be discussed.
