Key information
Saying no can often be difficult for many of us. Take the following for example: Can I have next Thursday off? Oh yes, absolutely. Would you like a double espresso? You bet! Do you mind walking the dog for me? Not a problem. Yet whenever it comes to change, especially workplace and culture change, the world unequivocally says NO! What is it that is so scary about change? Is it the unknown? Is it that people are inherently opposed to change? Is it a biological or psychological imperative? Focusing on why change is scary, acknowledging that yes, you are going to make mistakes, you are going to fail, but in the end that’s okay because it is forward momentum, it is about pressing on and always getting back up. This presentation focuses on the reality of saying no to culture change and quality improvement, and it shows how failure to change can stagnate and sour even the best teams. A humorous approach will be used to help ease tension and make you the type of person who says yes to change. The discussion will also focus on quick management tools you can use to help create standard work, relieve the stress of change, and become a change master yourself. Doesn’t that sound good? You will see it is not nearly as difficult as you might think.
