In this presentation, we will review the physiology of the pancreas as both an exocrine and endocrine organ. Participants will learn the pathophysiology and etiology of acute pancreatitis and the factors that may predispose their patients to pancreatitis. Participants will learn about acute canine pancreatitis from presentation through diagnostics and treatment. Potential complications that may arise from this disease will be discussed as well as reviewing how treatment of these cases may be changing.
