Management of Medical Emergencies

Medical emergencies occur in the context of a wide variety of situations and clinical challenges, including hypovolemic and toxic shock (e. g. with endotoxemia, dehydration or bleeding); trauma of the nervous system, (e. g. with heat or spinal cord trauma) and toxic consequences due to fire and smoke inhalation. In this abstract, the focus is laid on short term resuscitation with IV fluids in hypovolemic shock.
