Medical emergencies occur in the context of a wide variety of situations and clinical challenges, including hypovolemic and toxic shock (e. g. with endotoxemia, dehydration or bleeding); trauma of the nervous system, (e. g. with heat or spinal cord trauma) and toxic consequences due to fire and smoke inhalation.
