- Negli animali con epatopatia sospetta, il database minimo deve includere: esame emocromocitometrico completo, biochimica serica, analisi dell'urina e analisi fecale con arricchimento.
- In tutti gli animali con sospetta epatopatia, questo database minimo deve includere un'indagine radiografica dell'addome. Dopo lo sviluppo del database minimo, si possono prendere in considerazione test di laboratorio e studi di imaging (ad es. ecografia) aggiuntivi.
