La enfermedad de Addison, o hipoadrenocorticismo, es una deficiencia de la secreción de corticoesteroides por las glándulas adrenales. En los perros, la causa más frecuente es la insuficiencia adrenal primaria, que normalmente da lugar a la falta de glucocorticoides (principalmente cortisol) y mineralocorticoides (principalmente aldosterona).
