Lameness or structural unsoundness often prevents a bull from being classified as a Satisfactory Potential Breeder. This presentation will review the anatomy and etiology of common causes of conformation flaws and lameness in breeding bulls. Lameness accounts for tremendous production loss in the cattle industry and has been identified as a particular concern in animal welfare.
