Abstract

Methods for successful embryo retrieval are needed for bitches and queens incapable of carrying a pregnancy to term, for cryopreservation of genetic material, for the production of embryonic stem cells or for studying normal embryology. Methods for recovery of canine embryos and various factors affecting their number, developmental stage and quality are discussed.
