    Las anestesias digitales son muy utilizadas en la podología bovina debido a que la mayoría de las intervenciones quirúrgicas en el pie bovino resultan muy dolorosas. La anestesia es tan importante como el acto quirúrgico en si mismo por la obvia razón de evitar el dolor quirúrgico y por permitir un trabajo más seguro y confortable para el profesional actuante.
    Nosotros hemos incorporado como rutina la aplicación endovenosa de 0.5 a1 ml de xilacina al 2 % a todo animal que ingresa al “potro de sujección” o la manga (tubo) para ser intervenido.
    Efectuado el diagnóstico se elige la anestesia digital acorde con el acto quirúrgico a realizar. Las anestesias digitales se pueden clasificar en: endovenosas regionales, de conducción e infiltrativas, siendo las primeras las preferidas por nosotros ...
