Lameness is considered to be a major welfare and economic problem on dairy farms (6, 7). Lameness economically rank third or fourth after mastitis, infertility and possibly metabolic diseases (1,2,5). Since no report was available about the incidence of lameness in Marvdasht area, this investigation was performed.
