Update in the Treatment of Foot Pain

The advent of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has revolutionized the diagnosis of the various causes of foot pain in horses. With the realization of these new diagnoses has come the need to develop new treatment strategies that aim to target specifically the injured tissue(s) and thereby improve the often disappointing success encountered when treating ‘navicular syndrome’ in the past.
