Introduction
Monoparesis or monoparalysis in a front limb in dogs and cats is often caused by traumatic brachial plexus injury (BPI) (see figure 1)(1,2). Prognosis is considered grave when deep pain perception (DPP) is absent, since extensive trauma to the brachial plexus is then suspected. This case report shows that all is not lost when deep pain perception is absent following traumatic BPI.
