Intervertebral disc (IVD) degeneration is a major medical issue and causes back pain
in both humans and dogs(1). New regenerative treatments are desirable, since current treatments are invasive and expensive(2). Link-N stabilizes proteoglycan interactions and considered to be a promising protein to repair degenerated rabbit IVDs(3), modulate the expression of collagen in human IVD cells(4), and restore the glycosaminoglycan (GAG) and collagen II content in degenerated bovine discs(5).
