Nodular granulomatous and pyogranulomatous diseases of the skin are characterised by multifocal nodular inflammation of the dermis and/or subcutis. Granulomatous inflammation is composed principally of macrophages while pyogranulomatous inflammation also has a prominent component of neutrophils that maybe diffusely intermingled with macrophages.
