Blood analysis is one of the most widely used diagnostic tools in equine medicine. it can be used to confirm a specific diagnosis but it can also be used as a screening tool to provide guidance for follow up diagnostic steps in less clear medical cases. it can also be used to determine general health in horses presented for export or pre-purchase examinations.
