Exercise-induced cardiac fatigue (EICF) has been demonstrated in human athletes performing long duration exercise. A preliminary study, showed left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction after long distance endurance race in horses, but it’s actually unknown if diastolic function is also altered.
