Gelukkig komen ze niet zo vaak voor in de praktijk, trauma patiënten. Maar als ze binnenkomen, is het van belang om een overall beeld te krijgen van de toestand van de patiënt. Niet alleen fracturen, maar ook bloedingen in de buik of thorax kunnen het gevolg zijn van trauma. De verschillende vormen van diagnostische beeldvorming (röntgen, echo, CT en MRI) kunnen hier een belangrijk hulpmiddel bij zijn.

Maar hoe maak je nu het best een röntgenfoto van een patiënt die verdacht wordt van een gebroken rug? Naast het bespreken van dit soort praktische zaken, worden uiteraard ook verschillende beeldvormende casuïstieken van trauma patiënten behandeld. […]
