Orthopedic injuries are very common in canine and feline trauma patients, and a reason for surgical intervention in over 60% of small animal trauma patients. Most frequently seen are hind limb orthopedic injuries including pelvic fracture, femur fracture, hip luxation, distal limb fracture, spinal fractures, sacral luxations, and sacral fractures.
