• Pyoderma is a common dermatological presentation.
• Diagnosis based on compatible history, clinical signs and cytology.
• Culture and susceptibility helps to confirm diagnosis and guide therapy.
• Pyoderma is secondary to underlying skin or systemic disease that compromise the skin barrier or immune function.
• Many cases are recurrent/chronic so investigation for underlying disease is important.
