La nutrición parenteral es imprescindible en casos de vómitos incontrolables, regurgitaciones, pancreatitis aguda, obstrucción intestinal, malabsorción severa, íleo prolongado e incapacidad respirato- ria. La nutrición parenteral puede administrarse por vía venosa central (NPC) o por vía periférica (NPP o NP parcial).
