Para los urolitos de estruvita inducidos por infecciones se necesita una combinación adecuada de un tratamiento antimicrobiano y una dieta calculolítica. Los urolitos de estruvita estériles no precisan anti- bióticos y pueden disolverse solamente con la dieta calculolítica o con acidificantes de la orina (Osbor- ne et al., 1999d; Rinkardt & Houston, 2004) (Figura 17).
