A: Nein – Eine proteinreiche Diät steht in keinem Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung von osteoartikulären Erkrankungen bei heranwachsenden Hunden großer Rassen. Rasch wachsende Welpen benötigen für die Bildung von neuem Gewebe und zur Entwicklung ihres Immunsystems viel höhere Eiweißgehalte als ausgewachsene Hunde. Welpen benötigen täglich große Mengen an hochwertigem Protein, und Futter für erwachsene Hunde würde ihren Proteinbedarf nicht decken.
