Les calculs de struvite consécutifs à une infection urinaire nécessitent la combinaison d’un antibiotique approprié et d’un régime calculolytique. Les calculs de struvite stériles ne nécessitent pas d’anti- biotiques, et peuvent être dissous par la seule utilisation d’un aliment calculolytique ou d’acidifiants urinaires (Osborne & coll, 1999d ; Rinkardt & Houston, 2004) (Figure 17).
