Our profession, much like many workplaces, is rapidly evolving. We must all keep adapting to the needs of colleagues and employees, while ensuring we continue to provide excellent veterinary care for our patients. It is in all of our interests to help make this happen.

This session will discuss some approaches to working in and running a business, alongside living a busy family life. While it will come as no surprise that there is not one magic answer here, I hope to cover some ideas of what can be helpful and what in some cases can cause frustration or resentment from either party.

There will be discussion around mindset and flexibility, as well as the importance of defining our priorities and just how important a support network is.
