Iritis is inflammation of the iris and is manifested in horses by corneal haze, miosis, iris hyperaemia and depigmentation, difficulty dilating the pupil, aqueous flare, synechia, keratitic precipitates and slight blepharospasm. Iritis can be associated with corneal ulcers, trauma, and systemic disease. Cyclitis is inflammation of the ciliary body and is manifested by corneal haze, slight blepharospasm, low intraocular pressure (IOP) and aqueous flare. Cyclitis can be present alone or with iritis and is associated with corneal ulcers, trauma and systemic diseases. Choroiditis is inflammation of the choroid and retina (chorioretinitis) and is manifested by vitreal haze, nontapetal depigmentation, retinal haemorrhage, focal retinal detachment and tapetal hyperreflectivity, hyporeflectivity and retinal detachment.
