The relationship between farriers and nurses in many equine hospitals has become increasingly important over the past 10 years, it helps nurses to gain a more in-depth knowledge into the science of farriery and help farriers gain a greater knowledge into the science of equine nursing. The working relationship has many advantages, for example nurses can organise, instruct and assist the farrier on behalf of the vet, allowing many vets to carry on with their working day, freeing up large amounts of valuable time.
