The terms “Rhodococcus equi”[MeSH Terms] OR (“Rhodococcus”[All Fields] AND “equi”[All Fields]) OR “Rhodococcus equi”[All Fields] were used to search PubMed identifying 1156 articles (1945 to 2016). CAB abstract was also searched using the term “Rhodococcus equi”, 94 abstracts were identified (2004–2016).

Quantity and quality of evidence
