The European College of Equine Internal Medicine has recently issued a consensus statement (CS) on Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS) in adult horses. The consensus aims at providing veterinarians with guidelines regarding the pathophysiology, diagnosis, or treatment of EGUS, founded on evidence-based medicine. Where evidence was conflicting or lacking, the specialist panel provided interpretive recommendations based on their collective expertise.
