Postoperative feeding is as specific as possible to horses’ physiology and is adapted to the surgical stress. Preoperatively a thorough check –up is realised and feeding is adapted. One essential goal of postoperative feeding is to restore the transit with limited consequences on the digestive flora. In traumatised horses, metabolism consequences are far more important.
