La parturition souvent violente chez le cheval rend les dystocies potentiellement dangereuses et fatales pour la jument et le poulain. Ainsi, il est bien établi que plus la parturition est longue, plus le taux de survie du poulain est bas. Lors d’une parturition difficile, pour sauver le poulain, nous avons essayé EXIT (ex utero intrapartum treatment), une technique destinée à aider les poulains dans les cas de dystocie.
