Indications : Une fois qu’une atteinte hépatique a été mise en évidence grâce aux dosages biochimiques adaptés, la biopsie hépatique permet d’établir la nature exacte de la pathologie (et donc le traitement), souvent sa cause et le pronostic associé. Les lésions hépatiques étant le plus souvent diffuses, la biopsie sera représentative de l’ensemble du foie. Néanmoins, en cas de lésion localisée (ex : nodule tumoral), l’échographie permettra d’orienter la biopsie vers le site intéressant. Une suspicion d’abcès hépatique est la seule contrindication claire, pour éviter l’essaimage des bactéries. […]
