RESUMÉ : L’échographie de la région oculaire est un examen complémentaire non-invasif, facile à réaliser sur le terrain, et bien toléré par la plupart des chevaux. Il est particulièrement adapté à l’évaluation des lésions traumatiques, dégénératives ou congénitales de l’oeil, fréquentes dans l’espèce équine, et s’avère indispensable quand la perte de transparence des structures lésées empêche tout examen direct des parties du globe localisées postérieurement.
