About this course
Laminitis is a common and debilitating disease of the equine foot. There has been considerable advancement in our knowledge of the pathogenesis of this devastating condition over the last 5‐10 years. It is now believed that it is a syndrome with three forms of the disease that do not necessarily have a final common pathway. This lectures will cover the pathogenesis of the three forms of the disease, as well as how to identify high risk individual animals, treat and prevent the condition.
It is designed to give the practitioners who deal with horses an increased understanding of laminitis as well as the confidence to treat and prevent it.
The key areas that will be covered by the lecture are the pathogenesis of the three forms of laminitis as well as how to identify high risk individual animals, treat and prevent the condition.
