Distal Extremity Injuries – Sprain or Worse of the Achilles Complex
with David Dycus: DVM, MS, CCRP, DACVS
This presentation will focus on distal extremity injuries of the canine; in particular the Achilles complex. Pathologies such as luxation of the superficial digital flexor tendon as well as acute Achilles ruptures and Achilles tendinopathy will be covered. Emerging diagnostic modalities, as well as both surgical and non-surgical decision making, will be discussed. The goal is for attendees to feel comfortable in diagnosis of these injuries and if comfortable, treat them either surgically or non-surgically.
