Assessing Liver Function

This module looks at clinical examination, routine blood sample analysis, dynamic function testing, and other test of liver function in dogs.
- Clinical examination – small part of liver function assessment, but may indicate disease
- Routine blood sample analysis – serum protein, urea, glucose, bilirubin
- Dynamic liver function testing – bile acid stimulation test
- Other test of liver function – clotting parameters, ammonia, ascetic fluid analysis, plasma protein C activity, imaging.
