• Common diseases and nursing care
Course material is available to students through a dedicated online Moodle platform.
Students are provided with comprehensive notes in PDF format and supporting materials – recorded lectures, discussion groups, a dedicated Facebook group and other online resources.
All coursework, supporting material and submission of assignments is carried out through Moodle.
On enrolling for any one of the courses, students will have access to a dedicated writing skills course, also on the online platform, provided by Girling & Fraser Ltd.
Students are able to complete self assessment as they work through the course materials. Within each course there are 5 assignments (a mixture of short answer and multiple choice questions), to complete and return to a dedicated tutor for marking.
In order to complete the programme students need to pass the end of programme assessment. This takes the form of an essay (2000 words) and nursing care plan for a given scenario, which is submitted online.
Criteria for entry
The course is only open to qualified veterinary nurses / veterinary technicians.
