Key information
This 6-hour course is an intense review of advanced neuroimaging, primarily focusing on magnetic resonance imaging. Computed tomography spinal radiography, myelography and clinical cases are incorporated into the course. Important points of physics and disease syndromes will be emphasized.
By the end of this course you will:
- Understand basic and advanced MRI sequences, artifacts, and how to correct them
- Have a basic understanding of MRI of common intracranial pathologies
- Have a basic understanding of MRI of common spinal pathologies
- Have a basic understanding of the role of survey radiography, myelography and CT in veterinary neuroimaging
This course is part of the ACVIM North American Neuroscience Course (Brain Camp). The ACVIM Brain Camp Online program will consist of 19.5 hours of content, divided into three courses of 6-7 hours each. The material will be delivered as 1-hour RACE-approved modules containing pre-recorded lectures, proceedings and assessments. Attendees can access modules from any device and at their own pace. Each course will conclude with a 1-hour live Q&A with the presenters. The Q&A session will also be recorded to watch later for attendees who are unable to join the live portion. Attendees will continue to have access to the modules through June 30, 2021.
