Key information
Veterinarians and technicians who have completed the Introduction to Ultrasound: The Basics course or have had equivalent clinical experience and wish to continue with the Sound series of veterinary ultrasound education courses. The lecture component is presented by a board certified radiologist and designed to improve understanding of a thorough abdominal examination. Topics covered include pathology and differential diagnoses of common soft tissue diseases, refinement of technique and emphasis on the more difficult organs of the abdomen as well as case studies and phantom aspiration practice.
Objectives:
Learn pathology and differential diagnoses of common soft tissue diseases. Refinement of abdominal scanning techniques through hands-on instruction. Case studies and discussions. Aspiration and biopsy practice on phantoms

- Imaging of the more difficult organs (pancreas, adrenals, lymph nodes, etc.) as well as a review of the “Big 5”
