Let Dr Karon Hoffmann work with you in an intensive, immersive 4-day course on Diagnostic Ultrasound. A visual discipline, Dr Karon Hoffman has thoughtfully designed a program that will enhance your capacity to “think visually” so you can gain confidence and improve your scanning technique. 

Karon’s program offers you essential foundational knowledge through her comprehensive theory sessions, complemented by hands on learning techniques such as kidney dissection and plasticine modelling of organs.

On days two and four you will be able to put what you have learned in the classroom straight in to practice as you hone your skills scanning live patients under the guidance of your expert tutors. At the CVE we follow strict ethical guidelines so scanning sessions with each dog are timed appropriately to ensure the animals in our care are comfortable and have a positive experience.

Karon is known Australia-wide as the ‘go to’ person for ultrasound as well as being a European Boarded Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. She will instruct and give you personal and immediate feedback on your scanning, and teach you tips and tricks that will make a huge difference when you get back to your practice.
