Nutrition is the cornerstone of all excellent veterinary care. This course will look at each life stage to ensure an optional recommendation is always given. From growth, throughout adulthood and into their senior years, nutrition plays a key role in maintaining health for all pets.
This course will also discuss how nutritional requirements change in the presence of disease and will look at specific disease states which are strongly influenced by nutrition, focusing on the vital role veterinary nurses have in supporting the nutritional health of these patients.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Discuss appropriate diets for each life stage
  • Explore specific nutritional requirements for patients with diseases and common conditions
  • Recognise the importance of excellent communication throughout all aspects of providing an appropriate nutritional recommendation

Central CPD Attendance and Central CPD On-Demand together offer “the best of both” in terms of online and attendance CPD courses. Delivered by a team of respected small animal and exotics specialists from across the UK, our programme of courses for vets and nurses offers great value for money. Delegate numbers are limited at these events, so that they feel like relaxed and interactive seminars rather than more formal lectures. When it comes to practical teaching, our delegates get lots of hands-on experience and personal tuition from the lecturer.
