Richard E.A.

Eric Richard graduated (DVM) in 2005 (University of Liège, Belgium), underwent an Internship (University of Montréal, Canada) and a Sports Medicine Residency (CIRALE, France); then defended PhD in late 2009 (University of Liège, Belgium). Dr Richard is now Head of Unit (Clinical Biology) & Senior Researcher (Inflammation & Immunity) at LABÉO Frank Duncombe (Normandy, France). His main areas of expertise and interest are equine asthma and biomarkers of equine diseases. Beside his student & scientific life, Eric has also been a Show Jumping rider at international level (up to CSI**) for over 10 years in the late 90’s – early 00’s; he’s currently just waiting for the opportunity to ride again in the (next) future! From an associative perspective, Eric is currently Treasurer of AVEF (French Association of Equine Practitioners), and former President of its Scientific Committee. He’s also Board member and Past-President of VCRS (Veterinary Comparative Respiratory Society).
