Publications in IVIS
Martin Genton is an Equine Surgeon, based in Grosbois, France. He graduated from the University of Lyon, and soon after completed an internship at the National Veterinary School of Masons – Alfort and Cirale. He has had several publications in the Equine Veterinary Area with special training in Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, diagnostic imaging and pathology. He visits Malta to attend to our Equine surgical cases. He was the first surgeon to operate on a fully anaesthetised horse in the first Equine Clinic on the Islands.
He participated in the development of new surgical methods (new implants for cervical arthrodesis, standing catheter balloon carotid embolization, combined nerve graft for laryngeal hemiplegia amongst others). He is trained in the latest techniques in surgery of the upper airways as well as all common orthopaedic and fracture repairs and soft tissue procedures.
