WSAVA, May 6, 2008 /IVIS - The College of Veterinary Medicine University of Florida has established a program to honor the memory of Dr. Bild while providing unique learning experiences for students, staff, and practitioners. Known as the VIP Chair (Very Important Practitioner), the program brings selected veterinary practitioners to the college's Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital for one-to-three-month visits. Ithaca NY, Nov. 19, 2007 /IVIS - It is our pleasure to introduce a new e-book, the Encyclopedia of Canine Clinical Nutrition edited by P. Pibot, V. Biourge and D. Elliott, with contributions from over 30 experts from around the world. This fully illustrated 485-page book represents a major step forward in canine clinical nutrition and will be added to the IVIS on-line library over the next months. With the assistance of Royal Canin, this book will be available in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. We thank Royal Canin for generously making this valuable book available to the IVIS community. We invite you to discover the first chapter of the encyclopedia (click here to view). WSAVA, Nov 9, 2007 - What's New at WSAVA? "Is there any evidence that tumours form at the site of transponder implantation in companion animals?" Rumours and media reports from various countries have recently hinted that implanting transponders into companion animals may predispose them to tumour development at the site of implantation.
