WSAVA, Oct. 6, 2009 /IVIS - The WSAVA election for Vice President featured three very strong candidates - Drs. Colin Burrows, Peter Ihrke, and Shane Ryan. Any one would be an excellent choice for this position and do both themselves and the WSAVA proud. However, as in any election, ultimately one candidate prevails and, in this case, the Assembly members voted Dr. Peter Ihrke to fill the vacant WSAVA Vice President position. The WSAVA Executive Board congratulates Dr. Ihrke and welcomes him to his new role on the Executive Board. We would also like to extend sincere thank yous to Drs. Burrows and Ryan for letting their names stand and for their past and ongoing contributions to the WSAVA.
