Description 
This online distance learning course with lecturers Christie Balcomb BVSc, DACVIM (LAIM) and Kristina Müller Dr.med.vet., Dip.ECBHM, Veterinary Specialist in Cattle Management and Diseases will enable the veterinarian working in busy bovine practice to develop knowledge and confidence in the area of calf medicine, health and management planning.
Learn to critically evaluate calf rearing environment, nutritional policy and preventative medicine regimes in the light of current literature. Formulate comprehensive calf management strategies incorporating calf health, welfare, future productivity and economic viability. Discuss the best approach and interventions for calf disease situations regarding treatment, control and prevention of future disease outbreaks. Course materials include a lecturer-authored study guide and online materials as well as online class discussions and an optional three day on-campus workshop.
